Week 3 PiYo Review


........ OVERVIEW
PiYo officially hit the scene and available for purchase at the end of June 2014. We kicked off our PiYo Challenge Group on Monday July 7th and this is scheduled to last for 60 days. I was supper pumped to start because I have never done Yoga or Pilates but the positions looked cool and I thought at least I would become flexible and could get some CRAZY pics. I also wanted to increase my muscle tone and look leaner.




WEEK 3:
I am in week 3 of my PiYo program with Beachbody. For the first time I did the "Core" workout and was amazed that you can work your abs standing up. How crazy is that?!?! I still sweat my butt off and have resorted to 2 fans blowing on me at the same time, plus an overhead ceiling fan so I don't look like a drowned rat. The hardest thing to date is that I slip on the mat when I sweat so I have resorted to using my daughters gymnastic trick. Instead of chalk I use baby powder; I sprinkle a little on the mat and my hands. This seems to help! I was also recently told that a Yoga towel can be used so I am going to get one. These can be found at Kohl's, TJ Max, Marshals even Burlington for a cheaper price than a sports store.



For my meal plan this week I incorporated a few new items from the "Thin Kitchen" Recipe Book and have enjoyed the change up. Its hard for me to change too much on my meal plans, especially dinner time with the husband and kids so I try to get variety earlier in the day.
