Week 5 PiYo Review




........ OVERVIEW
PiYo officially hit the scene and available for purchase at the end of June 2014. We kicked off our PiYo Challenge Group on Monday July 7th and this is scheduled to last for 60 days. I was supper pumped to start because I have never done Yoga or Pilates but the positions looked cool and I thought at least I would become flexible and could get some CRAZY pics. I also wanted to increase my muscle tone and look leaner.




WEEK 5:
Absolutely LOVING the definition that I see in my arms and back. Before PiYo I didn't feel toned in my upper body but now I can see firmness. And my butt is lifting and getting round! This is huge because I find I wear yoga pants/shorts more often. These results make me want to keep going and see what I can do with this body I have. I no longer crave sweets and I drink at least a gallon of water a day. The normal rule of thumb is take your weight and divide by 2 and that is how many ounces you should drink daily. I have been freezing lemons, berries and cucumbers in ice trays so I can add to my water which gives me a little variety with my water flavors.

Kids are back to school in our county so I have been brain storming healthy snack ideas. The first day back to school I packed a banana, cheese stick and lots of ice water. I was concerned that they would all have headaches due to less meals during the day and low blood sugar. I figured the banana would be a great option to give them a quick boost.
